Overview

Upper Mustang Trek 17 Days

Upper Mustang Trek is mostly concerned with exploring the hidden world of the ancient kingdom of Mustang. The trek is a completely remote trek that takes you to the beautiful dry land completely mixed with the Buddhist culture. Mustang has been protected from mass tourism for many years. It is known as the last bastion of the traditional Tibetan culture.

Upper Mustang Trek Trip Introduction:

During the trek, you will have the chance to explore ancient monasteries and mysterious caves. You can also behold the lively art and architecture of the local population that has lived on the lap of the Himalayas for centuries. The trails to Lo-Manthang will pass through the desolately barren landscape of the Mustang region along steep rocky paths.

The views of Nilgiri, Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and several other majestic Himalayan peaks leave an everlasting impression of the place. You will witness the lifestyle of true mountain people who had very little contact with the rest of the country for many years. The geographical landscape of the region can be compared to the Tibetan plateau which makes the trek alike the trek to Tibet.
