Itinerary

Day 1: The day of arrival in Kathmandu (4,264 ft/1,300 m)

Welcome to Nepal. When you land at Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative from Nepal Vision Treks will be waiting to welcome you and assist you to transfer to your accommodation in Kathmandu. After taking a welcome meal, you’ll be briefed about the further trip at a typical Nepalese restaurant in the heart of Kathmandu. You'll stay the night at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 2: Fly to Phakding (2,652m/8,700ft) and hike there (2,800m/9,186ft): 3–4 hour walk

The next day, we depart from Kathmandu early in the 40-minute flight to the little airfield Lukla. When we get to Lukla, we meet up with the Sherpa team. You will have time to explore the city while the guide divides and organizes a load of bags into portions that will be carried by porters. You can spend the remaining time exploring the neighborhood. We then take a brief walk to the northwest of the village of Phakding continuing short briefs from our guide. We spend the night in Phakding.

Day 3: from Namche Bazaar to Phakding (3,440m/11,283ft) a 5–6-hour walk

After breakfast, we'll climb along the western banks of the Dudh Kosi and traverse it twice on small suspension bridges before reaching the town of Monjo, which serves as the park's main entrance. After a long descent, we reach Jorsalle, the last village before Namche Bazaar, on a suspension bridge across the Dudh-Koshi river as we get closer to the National Park's border. The Khumbu Region's capital, Namche, is a bustling commercial hub.

Day 4: Namche Bazaar acclimatization day and exploration

So that our body can acclimate to the elevation of 3,440m/11,283ft, we'll remain in Namche Bazaar for a day. It is worthwhile to explore the local bazaar in Namche, where you can buy anything from toothpicks to ice axes. The entire day is yours to do as you like, or you can visit the Everest View Point Hotel for a breathtaking panoramic view. After seeing the Sherpa Museum, a fantastic location to learn about Sherpa culture and mountaineering history, you can alternatively return to your accommodation for the evening.

Day 5: Namche to Tyangboche (3,867 m/12684 ft) a 5–6-hour walk

After breakfast, we depart the village and ascend a steep, flat path over the Dudh Koshi, where we are treated to stunning vistas of the mountains, including Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Thamserku, and Kwangde. To cross the Dudh Kosi, the route dips through a blue pine forest before returning to Phunki Thanga (3,250m).

We ascend once more on a switchback trail that is occasionally quite dusty by yak trains to reach the breathtaking Thyangboche Monastery, which offers breathtaking views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, and Taboche to the north and northeast, Thamserku and Kantega to the southeast, and Kwangde to the southwest. After Thyangboche Monastery was seriously damaged by fire in 1989, there will be a chance to see it and interact with the monks.

Day 6: Tyangboche to Dingboche (14,295 feet/4,358 meters): 5–6-hour walk

We travel through rhododendron forests, meadows, and the Buddhist nunnery at Deboche on the route to the Imja Khola after breakfast. The most challenging routes pass through Dingboche, Chukung, and farther yet on their way to the Makalu region and Hinko Valley through the Sherpani col (6,100 m), Amphu Laptsa pass (5,780 m), and Island Peak itself. Overnight.

Day 7: Dingboche acclimatization day and exploration

Before your return leg of travel, you'll take the day off to unwind. It is worthwhile to make the 3–4-hour climb to Chhukung, located in the Imjatse Valley to the east of Dingboche. Despite the gentle incline of the trail, you can still feel the thin air as you approach Chhukung. You can decide to take a whole day off, or you can go for a day's walk in some locations. Also, Chhukung doesn't have many teahouses, but those that do exist offer stunning views of the glaciers and snow-covered mountains. After a relaxing stroll, head back to Dingboche to spend the night.

Day 8: Dingboche to Lobuche (16,104 feet/4,910 meters): 5–6 hours of walking

Today's excursion takes us to the Dughla settlement and up a hill where there are several monuments honoring Sherpas who perished while climbing Mount Everest. By a wide margin, we are presently above the tree line. As you proceed over the Khumbu Glacier moraine to Lobuche, take in the views of Kalar Pattar and Pumori. Overnight.

Day 09: Trek from Gorakshep to Everest Base Camp (5,364m/17,593ft): 5–6 hours

Our journey begins after breakfast with a gentle ascent that quickly becomes a steeper ascent that lasts for about 30 minutes. We'll next make our way back down to Gorak Shep, where we'll check into our lodge after traversing a winding, rocky trail with breathtaking views of Mount Pumori, Mount Nuptse, and other majestic peaks. We resume our journey to the Khumbu Icefall and Everest Base Camp after lunch. The trail passes through stony dunes, moraines, and streams before arriving at the base camp. Before making our way back to Gorakshep for the night, we take a tour of the base camp and the glacier that surrounds it.

Day 10: Trek back to Pheriche after an early hike to Kala Pathar (5,550m/18,204ft) a 6-7-hour trek

This morning's early-morning ascent to Kala Pathar for the most stunning Everest dawn views will be scheduled by your guide. You can get to this hilltop in roughly two hours. This tiny summit offers the best views of the Khumbu Himalayan range, including Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Pumori, and Mount Everest. We will descend to Gorak Shep once more after taking in this spectacular sight, eat breakfast there, and then turn around and head back toward Pheriche for the night.

Day 11: Pheriche to Namche (3,440m/11,283ft) on Day 11. 6-7 walk

After breakfast, the trail is largely downhill as we head to Pangboche. Pangboche is the upper Khumbu valley's highest year-round hamlet. When we arrive, the Pangboche monastery, the area's oldest monastery, is accessible for tours. The three paths going to Gokyo Valley, Khumjung Village, and Namche Bazaar converge at Kyanjuma, so carry happy memories with you as you down the slope toward Phungithanka via Tangboche. The rhododendron forest is home to a variety of wildlife, including Himalayan Griffons, Musk deer, and wild goats, and offers a beautiful perspective of Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Tawache, and Lhotse. You can explore a local location at night and enjoy the gorgeous scenery. In Namche, spend the night.

Day 12: Lukla (2,800m/9,186ft) to Namche 6–7-hour walks

You may take a stroll through the verdant environs after breakfast, passing by the breathtaking mountain views and a small Sherpa community as you descend to the Hilary suspension bridge. You will have time to explore the area after your guide confirms the specifics of your flight ticket when you arrive in Lukla. You will then spend the night at a hotel.

Day 13: Return to Kathmandu by plane

Our guide will take you to your lodging after an early-morning flight to Kathmandu (if the weather permits). After your Himalayan trip with us is done, you may have some time to relax, regain your breath, and recover at your accommodation. That evening, we come together for a farewell meal.

On day 14: Departure

Before your flight or drive out of town, you are free to begin any more excursions or activities that you may have scheduled with us. If you are flying out, you will be driven to the international airport.
